The new way to live conveniently. We work and play in the city, but would rather not live in Manhattan or Brooklyn on our budget. No longer will we max out our finances for a home so we can free up some spending money to travel. We're over the multiple random roommate situation. We love our pets and the feel of grass. We're not ready to buy our forever homes or start a large family just yet. We're mobile professionals who enjoy adventure!

We're still going to work in Manhattan, but the cost of living in New York City is approx. 69% higher than the national average. A typical renter spends $3,000 p/m for 450 square. Usually a walk up studio apartment in an older building that's seen better days. Small boxy spaces with additional expenses needed to store our belongings. Forget having a car., the average parking rate downtown is $533 p/m.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH MORE TIME AND MONEY?
Living in the city is convenient, as long as you can secure a decent location within your budget. Often we over extend ourselves and do not have any spending money to enjoy why we chose our neighborhood. We enjoy our family and friends in the Suburbs, or hey... we like living in the burbs! We love to hike, go to the lake, or at least have our morning coffee taking in Vitamin D on our back decks.
CONCRETE JUNGLE BY DAY...
Of course we're not picking on city life, we love the hustle and convenience of options. We still have our weekly trivia nights and favorite restaurants. Our careers are here, our friends and family are local, but we no longer want to share walls. The love of feeling grounded, having our plants and outdoor space, with minimal maintenance. Not too bad to be "bridge and tunnel" if it fits our lifestyle.
